Houston Dental Cleaning & Dental Checkups

Regular Checkups

Early dental disease does not have any symptoms. It is highly recommended that patients get a check-up and cleaning twice per year to allow your dentist to look for problems that you might not be able to see or feel yourself. Early detection and restoration is vital! If you let a small cavity develop, you compromise the life of that tooth.

Regular Cleanings

Regular dental cleanings are important to maintaining good oral hygiene. Professional cleaning by a hygienist can remove mineralized plaque that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. It is recommended you go in for a cleaning once every six months.

Ninety-five percent of our population grinds or clenches at night, often without being aware of it. Bruxism (teeth clenching and grinding) is the third most common sleep disorder in both adults and children. People who clench their teeth often do it all day without realizing it, and often experience no pain at all. Others can experience a variety of symptoms such as migraines, neck aches, gum recession, toothaches and facial pain.
